Saving These Colors

In the event I have a child, and if by God's hand it is a she, I would love to decorate a nursery Yellow with Pink or Orange. Funny, since my childhood room was yellow. And I hated it.

This is my favorite. Beige walls, white trim/furniture, and yellow/pink everywhere else.

Love the vintage vibe of this yellow and orange textured gem.

A little understated as far as tone goes. Love the details.

This room reminds me of Molly Gunn's apartment in Uptown Girls. Hippie?

For more yellow/pink pics, there is  blog post here: Musings of a Night Owl

By the way, I can't remember where I got all of these images, they are NOT mine!

Simple things

The simple things in life: Kitchen windows open, soft breeze blowing in, and cookies cooling. Do I smell cinnamon?

My life since Facebook

After watching the CNBC documentary entitled, "The Facebook Obsession", my Facebook account has been deactivated. No, I don't hate any of my friends. I have better things to do than keep up with every day of their life. Its amazing what little things I notice around me once I'm not facebooking. For instance:

• I scrubbed my bathroom, every inch except the ceiling. My shower is shiny. Who knew?
• I went to bed early. Wow.
• I played with my beagle babies.
• I went to lunch with my best friend, Meredith.
• I made peanut butter blossoms.
• I had time to read. Did you know that peanuts aren't really nuts at all? They are actually PEAS!

I have left Facebook with certain goals in mind:

....focus on my small circle of family and friends
....keep my house and home
....try to educate myself more on things that apply to my life right now
....notice the small things in MY own life and appreciate them

Eh, I may get back on Facebook, but right now, I need a break.

Deactivated Facebook account on January 25th, 2011.

The 12 days of Christmas.

Little did I know that the twelve days of Christmas actually begin Christmas day. That means one can legitimately celebrate Christmas twelve days longer. We have decided that our decor can slowly retreat on or after January 5th. Yes.
